Length: 19 exit(s)
Type: Standard: Very Hard, Kaizo: Intermediate
Description: Hi!

Good Old Days STILL with all their quirks and ugliness!

GOLDA is the abbreviation of the hack name.

There are no map16 edits, no custom graphics and sprites. It has a completely old-school design.

Some patches have been used. (noLR, retry, no more sprite tile limits, double spin anti fail, extended level names, endless life etc.)

There are old-school glitches and gimmicks in the levels.

19 exits
silly glitches
frustrating setups
breadsticks and ketchup
strawberry and banana
and of course an ugly boss!

-Fixed many softlocks.
-Some setups have been changed.
-Added 'Kaizo: Intermediate' to difficulty information.
-Quick Retry has been added and you can exit levels with 'Start+Select'.

- Fixed another softlock risk.
- Fixed a cheese.

- Fixed a softlock.

►Big thanks to Linkdeadx2 for his help and patience!

Fun and inventive. Will blow the player's mind at least a few times. My only critique is the
blind fall ending, same as in GOLDA 2
. Overall though a fun experience.

This hack is great so far.
But I somehow can't finish the second level. Don't know how to get the (third) P-Switch above the watertiles in the first pipe removing section.
Tried it already for a few hours now and can't get a clue on how to approach that.
Seems impossible to get the shell high enough from below or to get Mario out of the room if you go in.
Can anyone give me a hint? Is there something I am missing or not aware of?

You need to flip the shell upside down using the coin block close to the ground. When the yellow koopa encounters an upside down shell, he flips it right side up before entering it. The flip gives the shell the necessary height.

Oh no my old review is deleted #smrpg{ohno}

So I was replaying
A giant strawberry and banana slices
, I think you accidentally removed the shell freeing the p-switch #smrpg{ohno}

Also at
Lost Mechanical Crocodile Age
, I found

Only a few exits in, but I love this. Lots of cool stuff I've never seen before. Level 4 is some of the most fun I've ever had in Mario.
