There was a lot of great, yet extremely tight platforming, and the gimmicks were excellent to make this experience even more enjoyable!
This hack has a great hint of JUMP-esque gimmicks, and the fact that it was consistently challenging like some kaizo hacks in Super Mario World is very interesting!
I recommend this hack to anyone who is very experienced in tight challenging games, so that they check this hack out and have a great reaction!
5 / 5 Stars
This hack is so much better, so much more exciting and creative than The Mysterious Gem, it's a little surprising that both came from the same author. There's a lot of really tight platforming with well-realized gimmicks to keep the experience fresh. If you're looking for a standard hack with a dash of JUMP-ish gimmickry that's consistently challenging but never frustrating, look no further.
Nice Hack!
Like Pseudo Kaizo
Albeit short, this hack was a spectacular one. Each level not only uses a specific gimmick, but is extremely creative with taking that idea and making it more complex as you go through the level. One level has a creative use of rotating platforms, another is focused on fast-moving Thwomps and Thwimps, etc. In fact, this hack was so much fun that I was quite sad when I finished it. The graphics used blended together very well, and the overworld maps were also extremely well done.
Unlike many Standard hacks, this hack is challenging from the very beginning and does not pull any punches, so it'd best be suited for advanced standard players. This hack will test your reflexes and your reaction time. Many powerups are found throughout the levels, so it does not really play like a Kaizo hack, but the difficulty is definitely between the Hard to Very Hard range, with tiny sprinkles of Kaizo-like sections at times.
I highly recommend this for advanced players who want a challenge that does not resort to powerup starvation, shell-jumping, and the like.
it gots a kinda of feel for light easy kaizo. should bring out them rushed level's you mention at the end. the only downfall no credits. but over all real well made hack awesome game flow
It throws you in straight away into challenging levels that have some really creative and precise set-ups for you to clear.
I got some SMB2 Lost Levels vibes from it as well as been reminded of a lot of tougher older hacks from back in the day.
Presentation is overall really concise I can't recommend it enough.
