There is a softlock in the third exit, right after the first checkpoint. If you accidentally kill both shells while trying to do the assisted double shell jump, you are trapped in a 7 block deep pit. The game also has no start + select to get out of a level, so this forces a game reset (and a loss of the checkpoint, as checkpoints are not saved).

Also, the player should be aware that the final castle cuts straight to the credits without triggering an overworld event, so the correct exit count is 5, not 6.


Overall I really liked this hack. I happen to be away from my SuperNT, so I played it in emulator with save state practice in hand. If you approach this hack like an old school hack and you look for a consistent strats and a bit of cheese here and there, I think you can have a lot of fun with it.

There are a lot of jumps in here that are almost impossible to make, and even if executed well or perfectly cannot be made due to frame rules (i.e. 6 block jumps, P speed jumps, the second wall in nuclear sewage)

It is also strange to me that this was approved as beginner with the first jump of both levels being a double shell. That may just be me not understanding the rules for difficulties though.

It's ok for a first hack, gameplay wasn't exactly smooth all the way through. There are also many blind jumps. Level 2 and 3 feel more like low-intermediate. I think this is either high-beginner or low-intermediate.

This hack is a little bit simple, but a decent first attempt. There are a few instances of 'blind' jumps but the overall difficulty isn't so high that this is a big problem. Rather short and sweet, but I hope to see this maker continue to grow their skills and level-making abilities. Nice work.
