Description: | Easyland 2 This is the continuation of the Easyland project, a hackrom completely dedicated to beginner kaizos players, and especially to my friends who made it possible. But don't be fooled, with intuitive tricks, it has gradual difficulty depending on its worlds. It's actually easier once you understand the setups. It has short levels but with good intensity. Attention: It has a lot of shells but it is not a shelljumps hack. Tips: Many setups were designed for you to get it right without much effort, just by holding down a few buttons. Important: this hack explores tricks where the "neutral dpad" can make it easier to beat. If you have fun with "trolls", you will enjoy this hack, because I added a lot of them (don't kill me, ok lol). Clear video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtD95AO6jzU I really hope you can have fun and evolve with this Kaizo. |

The map16 edits at the end of some of the levels killed the momentum and sense of thrill that you had developed with your really nice sense of pacing.
The grab block placement in the final boss was a bit much compared to the rest of the level and the hack. It's close to as far away from the platform as it could have been placed, and the muncher right above it makes the jump pretty precise. Dying to the grab block felt cheap and it didn't really feel like the player should have to redo the entirety of the boss screen because of it.
Some of the notation throughout the hack was also a bit vague and confusing. The arrow pointing down next to the neutral dpad instruction didn't really make any sense at a glance in the shell pickup level. I understand that it indicates that you will be landing on the pswitch, but a yellow coin would have been a lot more clear I think. There are other examples of this throughout the hack as well.
All that being said, your level design, flow, pacing, and creativity are still some of the best that the beginner section has seen, and I look forward to seeing what you cook up next.
Congratulations and great work, Ricardo! I truly look forward to what you create next!
You may be right about some tricks being more advanced, the fact is that most do not require large quick presses or large movements, most work with setups in which you hold down a few buttons and you already get it right. The first time playing it can be seen as intermediate, but after learning (I included the video in the description), it becomes much easier to get it right.
Suas hacks são excelentes.
