Description: | Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq0c_ym0Q7M I wanted to make a solid platformer that gets players into Kaizo. Most levels fall into the range of Kaizo: Beginner. The goal of this hack was to include a LOT of content including collectables, bosses, secrets, ASM (Chocolate), some jammin' music, and multiple paths the player can choose to progress. This is my first hack and I had a TON of fun learning and creating. >>> I Hope You Enjoy <<< ** IMPORTANT NOTE: The level "Endgame Way" has 3 exits, this is important to notice. ** |

Also, the "Yump Like" map its very fun to traverse and find the conecting paths, just try to not get lost and have a count of your exits, that will be helpful at the end of the game.
The biggest issue is the wide platform at the end. I have been trying a strategy where I move either left or right and press up just so I can maybe catch the door once I land up there, but the problem is that this strategy takes like 30 seconds to execute and I still haven't been successful. It sucks because you can spend 30-40 seconds doing a little dance at the end, only to press the trigger button and watch Mario fail the first jump.
The main reason I don't like this is because it seems like it's not skill based. Due of the wide variety of different things that can happen in this room, it's nearly impossible to navigate blind. I legitimately don't understand why nobody else has brought this up; maybe everybody else got lucky, but I haven't. I really wanted to complete this game, but I don't know if I will now. I will try to insert an image of the room I'm talking about in this comment.
Highly recommend for Kaizo Beginners! (i am a kaizo beginner)
Lots and lots of cutoff, in pretty much every level.
A fair few levels suffer tremendously from the classic "do the jump literally as big as you can". Difficulty is all over the place as well, and while this is somewhat to be expected from an "open world" hack, there were multiple times where it would take me 10-20 minutes to beat a level then the very next level that unlocks I would beat in like 1 minute. Several levels are almost certainly nearly unbeatable to a "true" beginner.
I feel that if about 50% of the levels were removed (the worst ones) and that time were instead spent polishing and lengthening the better levels the end result would be a much more pleasant experience, for me personally, at least.
I really want to like this hack, and on paper I do! It just suffers from having way too much bloat. Big hacks like this tend to be made by several people because it's unreasonable to have even half of the levels be vaguely memorable with an exit count this high, you'll just be stretched too thin.
If 1mslakingoff were to make another hack that was much smaller and more focused I would be all about it, and I do urge anyone who reads this to give the hack a chance, just know that all levels are not created equal.
