The Evil Reswob Tuppa has kidnapped the Princess of the Mushroomy Kingdom and took her to his unknown base. To get there our hero "Mario" must find the four switches to rebuild the path to reach Reswobs Hideout!
Ive being working on this hack for over a year now so yeah, its the best I can do. There are a few things explained in the Read Me so please read it as it states a few glitches that may occur, none that can break the game.
Agree with Virus610 that this hack isn't "easy". In addition to what he mentioned, the second half of Truffle Trail is hard, perhaps unintentionally, due to invisible sprites. I got killed by invisible Piranha Plant fire and invisible Bullet Bills. The nine-room final castle is also a bit much for an easy hack.
This hack and its sequel are the best hacks I ever played.
It's easy, funny, tricky and attractive. I like the vanilla-style.
The fake NPCs you used are unique.
My review is not so big. However, I give you a 10/10.
You did a great job!
I would hardly agree that this hack falls under the "Easy" category. The 2nd and 3rd levels are incredibly difficult for beginners, and there are a handful of levels that are quite punishing (For lack of a midpoint, mostly).
The hack is alright, even fun at times. Though the whole "Get all switches in order to reach the final world" thing is generally best combined with a non-linear game, which this is not. Caution should be taken to avoid allowing the player to effortlessly clip into the ground in partial-water stages (Generally, while holding an item and swimming into an upward slope, a clip is not too unlikely to occur).
The minimalistic graphics are cute (If a little hilarious, now and again.) I love the big boo. Though some things are a little unclear, primarily spinies. They don't look much different from a red koopa.
The music choice was confusing, at times. Vanilla music, but a lot of stages with music that players associate with water, only to be completely dry.
If you'd like to see from the perspective of one of a handful of people doing a blind race of this hack, you can find that, in two parts, here:
The videos aren't an LP or a review. Just a jerk with a hat, racing a game.
