Tested With:
-Lunar Magic 3.33
-PIXI 1.32
-bsnes v115
-SA-1 1.40

Fixed an issue where the spiny can clip through slopes due to missing grounded and slope checks. Do note that aside from ability to activate blocks, it acts as a regular enemy when spinning, it will bounce off other enemies and it dies from cape spin.

I wonder if Cape Mario cape whips the Charging Spiny, it will stay in its shell like the Buzzy Beetle instead of just killing it.

Was wondering, is it in its kicked state to trigger bouncable blocks when it charges?
 MarioFanGamer Link
Nope, it's still within the normal state. Block interaction beyond the basic interaction (i.e. solid interaction) must be handled within the sprite itself ($01999E is one such routine). This, btw, is the reason why block duplication exist (the original game never preserves the position of SpriteV and the recreation is a misalignment thereof).
MegaSonic1999 From older version: Chasing Spiny Link
I think the name of this sprite should be "Charging spiny" and not "Chasing spiny", because it charges towards the player and doesn't chase him when he changes directions.

Converted to PIXI and added SA-1 compatibility. Added a GIF and more tags.

Some routines have been optimized.
