Description: | Tired of playing all these bad Mario ROM hacks? You should play something else... This hack is the result of over two years of work. It features lots of fun and varied levels, a new powerup, an original plot and a lot more. The game is available in both English (ENG) and French/Français (FR). Note: If you are going to play the hack in ZSNES, you may need to change the "per2exec=100" to "per2exec=150" in zsnes.cfg to avoid slowdowns. Other emulators should be fine. If you find any problems in the hack or have any questions, PM me on SMW Central. v1.02 - Fixed a teleport problem in the final boss and a minor spawning problem v1.01 - Fixed the entrance of level 4-1 and overworld songs to work on all emulators. |

And coincidentally, the hack as 69 exits.
only found 1 way to trap yourself and have to reset the whole emulator if you didnt savestate.
final boss (not special world) was a little too easy and overall the bosses were like the only boring part about the whole hack.
design was nice (i found 5 penises)
05328. hope that password ever gets used in your sequel! i hope you make one tbh

GRAPHICS 2*(10/10): Almost all of your levels were very creative, both the level and the enemies. You had many original ideas you don't see often in hacks. Perhaps some of them were made by you?
I didn't like much when you used smiles and crazy eyes in some enemies. I find that unfitting, but your work overall surely overcame that problem.
***********************
LEVELS 3*(8.95/10): Your levels are very well worked. Once again, very few people actually explore their own creativity as much as you did. Your levels were long and consistent, with their own enviroment and own enemies. I hardly got bored at some point, and I didn't notice problems with midway points, which many usually forget.
The optional world also shows how you worked hard and made the game very dynamic.
***********************
BOSSES 1*(6/10): Most of your bosses were variations of the well known generic boss, but somehow, you made them better than people usually do as well.
***********************
OVERWORLD 1*(10/10): Your design was great. The secret exits you made were worth the trouble of finding them. I didn't regret doing it a single time.
***********************
FUN FACTOR 2*(9/10): One of the few games I ended feeling it was indeed a great hack. I selected a few ones to play and saved yours as the last one because I thought it was going to be the best. And I was right.
***********************
STORY 2*(6.5/10): The story wasn't that great. I liked how you made the village levels, helps interacting with the story, and the npcs too. But nothing was really explained. A bear is kidnapped for some weird guy for unknown reasons, and they know Mario for some reason, and the special world boss also has no connection with anything.
Still, I liked how you wrote your messages in the message boxes around the game, specially because you notice Luigi's dumbness. And I can't deny you made Yoshi look like some kind of villain there as well. Was weird, but interesting.
***********************
FINAL NOTES: If you ever make a sequel, remember that the password is only available for those who complete the special world. I don't think it would be fair if you stop people from playing the next game because they didn't find it. If you use that in something like the special world of the next game, that's fine.

OVERALL: (8.95/10)
It's almost perfect.
ASM and Hex are not "too much" and really really well done. The peach could have been in the original game without changing a single line of code.
In fact, the only thing I disliked was the colors of Peach-Luigi. Green/Pink, yikes...
Music could have been better sometimes (Guile's theme for the star...), but it was decent. I loved the Mt. Tamaranch theme !
Long story short : One of the best hacks ever, if not the best.
