-A message to help you in a particular level
-Several glitches and cutoff tiles fixed
-Redesigned the title screen to give it a daytime-like view with new music
-Updated overworld border
-Still flickers (don't know why) in ZSNES, should work in bSNES and SNES9X, maybe bZSNES?
PS - Those who downloaded the other patch will probably run into problems towards the end of the demo so download this one please
Post your findings and questions in the hack's main thread:
-Yet another update due to level 1FF bug (the last room) fixme: there are some weird noises when the message box's SFX plays in some levels on accurate emulators.
The design is pretty bad. Each level coinsists of going right constantly in a straight line, avoiding a few enemies if there are any, aiming for the goal block. Sometimes it was kind of confusing, like for example the castle level, where some objects hurt you, though they don't look like harmful in terms of exgfx. Many sections can also be broken easily, for example the secret exit of "Sight for sore eyes", where you can jump over the level by riding the flying sprites and get to the end. It's overall a very bad and confusing one.
Aesthetics are good and bad. Sometimes the author nailed the atmosphere of the hack, even if rarely. Most of the times, instead, exgfx is there just because it was considered as a plus. They're weirdly assembled most of the times. As I said earlier, also, some tiles don't look harmful, but they hurt you (like in the castle level, the red pillars and the pots hurt you).
- There are some weird noises in some levels where the message box's SFX plays. Tagging a music fixme for this.
- Sometimes, the game glitches for an instant, like, a black screen with glitchy tiles appears. It didn't break the rom though.
- The midway point start in "bom-bile's bridges" makes you die instantly due to camera placement.
Overall, 2/5. With the custom content this hack had, it could've been a very good demo. Unfortunatley it's not the case.
