The level of unprofessionality here hurts me a bit. This hack is extremly poor, it feels like it has been thrown together in a matter of hours.
Design-wise it's not the kind of hard people generally likes from my point. Difficulty curve here is hilarious, and, as for the difficulty spikes, they come from tricky sections that feel more unfair than challengy pretty much. As for the rest which can't be classified in this way, it's overall pretty flat and boring, with the exception of a few sections that were actually decent and fun to go trough.
It's annoying the fact you can farm lives from the Yoshi house and in the secret zone level. For an hack that is supposed to be hard, it actually looks easy to me.
Aesthetic-wise, it's not impressive. The author used vanilla tiles and vanilla palettes, with not too many shenanigans. The overworld is also extremly flat and boring.
The only technical issue I found is in the castle level. There are sprite tile limits errors, which often make shells invisible. Annoying.
An overall very poor hack. It takes 10 minutes to complete, and it's not very enjoyable.
