This one felt like a wip hack so much. My main complaint is that it doesn't feel like an official demo, but more like an .ips the author sent to a tester in order to give him feedback about the design.
Speaking of it, I must say I liked the first levels. They felt challengy and well designed overall. Although from world 2 the author keeps repeating the themes and the style of design, which results kind of boring. I had high hopes from the world 1, since the design felt quite decent. Eventually repetitivity kicked in and ruined all the fun. An overall boring hack, even if it shows some good ways to design.
I won't say much for the aesthetics, since the author only used vanilla gfx and no custom edits of palettes. Some small cutoff here and there but nothing extreme (if you don't consider World 3).
- The main one is that this hack doesn't feel like a complete demo, as said before. It would've been good if the author properly made an end level or something rather than just warning the downloader of the .ips in the hack description.
- Some levels suffer major slowdown.
- Note that none of the levels of world 3 is playable. Only the castle is, but I'm not considering it as exit.
Overall, this hack shows some good ways to design, but it's too repetitive, and not very fun.
