This is a rather impressive demo in that level themes are tight, challenge is strong but reasonable, and styles within levels are consistent.

Every level knows exactly what it is and doesn't stray from a simple formula with lots of action. You're always pressing buttons and looking out for danger in what's surprisingly not a cramped, sloppy mess like many other hacks that try to keep you on your toes tend to be. A bit of waiting exists in the balloon level since you have to wait for the generator to produce balloons when you enter their area but nothing else gets in the way of the platforming. The layer 3 tide is used quite a lot here, but a patch is applied which fixes the problem the tide has with staying fixed to the camera position rather than the Y-position within the level's build. It has a more passive role in the forest level but is where you spend nearly all your time in the labyrinth stage.

Graphically, everything is solid. There are zero palette problems, although everything is standard for their tilesets. My only gripes are that the sand in DaKing Island doesn't have a darker outline to distinguish it as FG and cement the style consistency and that the Sonic tileset doesn't match the rest of the hack.

Slowdown and the music being broken are the two major things that drag this hack down.

There's no save point so a complete SRAM doesn't exist for this hack.
