There seems to be a major issue with the boost blocks in Tropical Isle 4. They apply their effect to Mario if ANY sprite touches them, whether it be a living or dead enemy, or one of your own fireballs. This can result in you suddenly getting splatted into a wall unexpectedly if a Goomba or something walks onto a boost block off-screen.

EDIT: Just read the message box after the midpoint in that level. Apparently this behavior is intentional. It's still really weird and can be completely unfair.

Also, if you get hurt during the Iggy fight, you might glitch and die instantly, probably due to the knockback not agreeing with how that fight works for some reason. Oh, and you can't slide-kill his balls?

Another thing to report: In the Fort just south of the 5th castle, one of the Yoshi coins there cannot be obtained if the Red Switch Palace has already been hit, because the pit leading to it is blocked off completely by a trio of red ! blocks. I'd highly recommend removing those three red ! blocks entirely, since falling down there would be totally safe, and the pit is easy to jump over without the red ! blocks anyway.

In addition, in the Fort in the ocean southeast of the 6th castle, there's a Yoshi coin completely boxed in by blue ! blocks, so it's totally unobtainable if the Blue Switch Palace has already been hit. Umm... Why?

Difficulty bumped to Standard: Hard due primarily to Bowser's Castle. While the author encourages save-state use in it, I found that I was instead able to fly over and skip everything up to the final boss.

The invisible maze (which I also flew over) and some blind jumps in the final world also made it difficult in an unpleasant way. The secret exit in Ice World 2 was uncharacteristically difficult. Lastly, the knockback mechanic frustrated me, but I guess that's the price to be paid for being able to take so many hits.

Aside from that, the hack was pretty fun and not too hard.

Some good levels, a lot of bad ideas (blind jumps and free falls with coins leading to spikes and enemies). The game is good at the beginning, but at later levels you can see that the author, at least at the time, had no idea of how to make actual hard levels and just keeps throwing bullshit at you.

...this is how Wakana made his first hack before.
