Tip: Unless you've disabled the bonus game, don't use a goal tape in a vertical level. The bonus game won't appear if a player happens to reach 100 bonus stars there.
This hack is mostly vanilla, but it does have custom music.
This is the first hack I have finished! My goal was good level design, I don't really care about the story or the overworld. I also aimed for good level designs. They're linear because I personally hate choosing between paths, but I tried very hard to still make it interesting.
If you review this hack, PLEASE be as nitpicky as possible! I want to improve. fixme: music breaks on accurate emulators.
The design is well done. It's mostly easy, with a mostly linear design, without too many shenanigans, although it's fun to go through. It has its flaws though: it can feel repetitive after a bit, some puzzles can be easily broken, and some little item babysitting, which considering the hack's size, is a bit too frequent. These don't bring the hack down too much though, it was still an enjoyable play overall.
The aesthetics are good. Vanilla gfx with some custom palettes made by the author, which doesn't look bad. I'd have appreciated some more decoration overall, since some parts really feel empty, but it's just a small niptick.
As only issue worth of mention, music breaks on accurate emulators.
