As many have noticed, SMWC's current gold, silver and bronze trophies given out for contests look a bit outdated. Just replacing them would've been alright, but we decided to make things a little more fun. So, we're calling on anyone interested to design the replacements!
Between now and NOVEMBER 30TH, anyone interested in participating can PM me their own gold, silver, and trophy designs and I'll add them to the list. You're free to resend or update the trophies at any time after submitting them, but after the November 30th date, they'll be locked in.
After the deadline, all the submissions will be revealed and there will be a vote to determine which trophy set gets in. At that time, please PM me your top 3 choices for trophy sets submitted. Of course, if you participated, you may not vote for your own. The deadline for voting is December 7th, so please get those votes in. Anyone is free to vote, regardless of whether or not you submitted your own entry.
If you win, you will receive the ability to edit your own custom title as well as receive a special trophy of your own. Not only that, but your new trophy designs will replace all of the old ones.
Of course, in terms of actually making your trophies, there are a few guidelines to follow:
1. YOU MUST MAKE THE TROPHY YOURSELF. Unfortunately, copypasta from the Spriter's Resource won't cut it here. Please make your own original designs. Of course, you can use other trophy designs as an inspiration, but it shouldn't be a direct ripoff.
2. Your trophy must be a PNG. Pretty self-explanatory.
3. Each trophy must be no more than 64x64 pixels. Obviously, we don't want microscopic trophies, but please follow these limits.
4. The trophy backgrounds must be transparent! Please no white backgrounds. Try using GIMP to get transparency.
5. You must submit a gold, silver, and bronze trophy. When we vote, we'll be voting on whether or not to use the three gold, silver and bronze trophies you made. If you don't have all three of your trophies in by the deadline, you'll be disqualified.
6. Do not submit your entry for the contest in this thread. PM me instead.
That should be it. I'm looking forward to seeing what trophy designs end up being made. Feel free to discuss the contest here and ask questions, but try to avoid commenting on other people's trophies in this thread. Good luck!
