It's Been Done-probably one major reason there are less and less vanilla hacks and more people cancelling hacks. Given the huge number of hacks of this game that exist, your level idea has probably been done before.
If tropes that apply to the hack database are also allowed:
Nintendo Hard-Rise to the Challenge, A Super Mario Thing, An SMWC Production, and many others. Any normal hack made by a Kaizo hacker is likely to be this as well.
Stylistic Suck-Chaos Complexx is bad looking on purpose but the level design is decent.

Added all except Genius Programming, as that's a YMMV trope. If you're wondering why it doesn't say so, anything on either the Sugar Wiki or the Darth Wiki is always either YMMV, or just for fun (unless you can find some exceptions).
