Well, that sounds good then. That's what I was doing anyway, but I feel like it wasn't really clear what exactly you expected.
I was under the impression that the point of doing this whole "review" thing was not only to express your thoughts on whether a hack should be accepted or rejected, but also to help the creator of said hack improve and be able to fix things that they may have skipped over. I can understand your reasoning if, say, the hack is so completely shit that there are graphical errors or crashes all over the place, or if the level design is so flat you could fall asleep playing it. However, if it's a decent hack that is acceptable enough, there should be no reason not to point out a few mistakes like cutoff or boring parts, to help make the hack as good and/or as bug-free as possible.

I heavily agree with Sinc-X. I don't disagree with writing general reviews, such as what Mirann and others have done, but I liked how Cou's post contained information on each post. I think that it's necessary to point out mistakes in a nice, fair, orderly manner. Nitpicks naturally shouldn't be removal reasons, but they can be put in when labelled correctly. I think getting the whole community's opinions on a hack is a great idea, but remember, they are opinions. Nobody has the word of god on any of this.

Again, the system is open; let's see what people write, and how it helps hack creators make better hacks.

That's what I was getting at, yes. If the hack is on the verge of acceptance but there are a few glaring flaws that need to be pointed out, go nuts .. but if you're just going to saturate your posts with screenshots, you're doing what the hack mods have been doing for years and essentially wasting time. Get to the meat of the issue by reviewing the hack as a whole, and if it's genuine good, -then- focus on a few specific issues.
Random idea:
How about putting the difficulty in the thread titles, or at least a note if it's Kaizo? I'm pretty sure most Kaizo players rarely want to play non-Kaizos, and the other way round.
