SM64: It's A Crash! (Mini Hack)

Whoa's that? A hack from the Super Crash?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OrNXwwA7A0

While I work on Temple Quest, this one's a gift to you all who made me impressed with your projects. So yeah... enjoy! #smw{:peace:}

SUPER CRASH TIME YEAH!
I have just finished playing it.
It has some interesting and original ideas, and overall it has been a funny experience.
I had a lot of fun playing this hack. I like how massive Bob-Omb Meadow is, also there some good detail like the inside King Bob-Omb castle and how some part of level has shadow. The wing cap stage is also nicely made and I really like the well written the riddle dialog is.

However, there are some difficulty spikes such as wall-jumping off the pillars on the way to the "Journey to the island" star and in the wing Cap stage, I seen to have major difficulty shooting Mario to the top of the roof right before opening the cannon door. It may just be my bad skills, also heard there is a 9th star which I can't seen to find it anywhere. (I'm sure it hinted in-game or it very well hidden)

There is one part of the game I didn't like much and that is the King Bob-Omb fight. I know the fire spitters is there for the additional challenge, but it seen that you're forced to get burned by the fire when you pick up the king. My suggestion is to place just one or two fire spitters rather than three so players will have to find a right time to pick up and throw king before getting hit by the fire. Another thing you can do is to make changes in king bomb-omb code value that if you want to give him more health, move faster, etc. (I'll share it if you're interested)

I also suggest you try texture positioning and UV mapping, it is easy to perform. However, I think the pro version of SketchUp is required. (I'm not sure, I haven't tried it with the free version or any other modeling programs yet.)

You did a great job Crash! I looking forward to your next hack Super Mario Temple Quest.

Thanks. And I'm aware of a few lacking cons like:

Of course, signposts are telling you to use the wallkick if you cannot climb up the pillars, as well as another signpost in the Riddle Sky stage said a star is hidden somewhere around. And to reach the top of the tower, you have to pick the right altitude (I'll look onto that in a playthrough).

I do believe this one is hard to beat, yet you can possibly avoid the fire spewers while the King is chasing you away. And also, there's coins near the arena to save all the trouble. Well I'd like having the king upgrading its hitbox, about 5 times, that'd be nice. #w{=D}

No problem! Of course, I'm having a grudge with the walls' textures, since the eyedropping/projecting tool make them stretched so far, it's hard to look at, but I'll try to work with later.

Before using the eyedrop tool on a texture right click on that face and texture > position and press enter.
Now use the eyedrop tool on that face then apply the texture to near faces to have it perfectly wrapped.

Take a look at this article: link
I didn't steal your wing cap soundtrack.
