Mario in, Everybody Is Missing!

Standard

Hello, i'm megamario32, i'm back to romhacking after sometime and finally i got courage to post here my progress of my romhack, but firstly i gonna tell you the story of the game.

In the year of 2014, Mario defeated bowser and the princess is now safe forever, but one day. mario waked up. and everybody has missing, Luigi is not there, peach is missing, mario thinks that Bowser got something about that, Mario go to the Koopa Kastle, and Bowser has missing, his soldiers are missing, he finded it weird. after that he came to his house he has sad because he tought that everybody is dead. so one day on the night he got a letter from MEK saying
''I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE'' Mario as scared then he has going to the yoshi's house, there has just another letter saying
''THEY ARE IN TOAD'S HOUSE'' Mario just ran away to Toad's house and there's has a computer, A Hand came from the monitor and pushed mario away to the Cibernetic World, Mario have found yoshi stuck in a folder. This is the story for now. and there you have the screenshots.

(also the plot must be changed with the time)
1st screenshot: This doesn't looks like a "Cibernetic world". I mean, Mario is inside a computer, right? A simple grassland doesn't represent it well, imo. Did you draw the level's graphics yourself? If so, you should look at them twice. I have nothing against 8-bit styled graphics, but there are cutoff everywhere with these ones (you might find them by taking a closer look at your screenshots). I find the BG's palette a bit too dark.

2nd screenshot: There isn't much to say here, except that the "who"'s "o" is a zero, and the black square behind
"-mek" is kind of ugly.

3rd screenshot: Hm, looks like you began to redraw Mario as well, by looking at that jumping frame. But I don't really like it, Mario seems to wear a bag... Other than that, the sprites are okay, but the goomba's outlines should be darker.
Yeah But the FIRST, Is the normal world.
And the second. oh, it's a goof. sorry.
And the Third. well, i have to admit, every graphic on this game is hand-draw by me.
Also the First Screenshot is the early photo, and the 2nd,3rd are today's photo's.
The Mario's Sprites, are inspired from smb1, got smb3-ified style. but with smw-palette.
The Cibernetic World is not ready. it gonna looks like wario ware computer.

and the 010101101001010 binary is a placeholder, i gonna but more messages on it, and the paper don't gonna be a WHITE SCREEN, it gonna have some effects and mario's hand on it.

Edit! Here's Some Brand new Screenshots. Like, New Yoshi, And a cutscene!

Alright, you improved your graphics, but there's still some issues to fix with them. When you draw your own graphics, make sure all the tiles can fit together without any cutoff:

This cutoff (circled in red) is there because of the graphics you drawn for the edge tile, it can't goes well with the ledge tiles.

In the second screenshot, you should change the letters' palette, make their outlines black and their inside white. The bricks' palette isn't very good either, because it looks eye searing like that.
You did a small mistake with the text, "why is so dark?" should be "why it's so dark?".
A small advice about the screenshots, you should upload them under the ".png" format, not ".bmp". If you're using Zsnes or ZMZ, you have to go in "Config", "Options", and under "sshots" check "png" instead of "bmp".

Other than that, it's okay, the redrawn Yoshi looks great.
Good luck! #wario{:peace:}
