Underrated/Unnoticed Kaizo Hacks

Kaizo

So sometimes among the big hacks like Mario Must Die 3, Mario's Drug Trip 2, Pandora's Box, etc, there are hacks that go unnoticed. Some are... eh. Others are outstanding and don't get attention somehow.

The one I bring to the table today is a hack called "Pi Mario." Here's the playlist

Pi Mario is a hack made by Youtube user Zer Zero or oo00O00oo as he's known (well, unknown really) on the site. Pi Mario is actually the first hack in a series called "irrational number Mario," the other hacks in the series consist of Tau Mario" and "e Mario." Videos of Tau Mario were posted on his YouTube in the past, but he has since removed them (luckily I downloaded them before they got removed, hehehe), and "e Mario" hasn't seen the light of day yet.

On to the hack itself. While a lot of the hack can be seen as pretty repetitive, there are a lot of creative bits in it, like in Stage 5. The hack is quite creative, so it surprises me that the hack hasn't really been noticed, just look at the views on the guys videos. He even submitted the hack to the site, but it got removed for music and graphical issues (moderation thread). Even with that it went pretty unnoticed, which is kind of a shame.

So, are there any kaizo hacks you know of that not many people know about? Post em here!
-Shell Puzzle, a cute little guide dang it puzzle hack Sadistic Designer made one time and would constantly reference whenever he noticed a break that reminded him of that.
-Random's Retarded Quest. Even tho I never played it, I remember the videos looking fairly creative even tho I think I remember the player having to wall catch in one level. I feel like I should be more offended about the name than I am, since I would be if it was called 'Random's Autistic Quest.'
-Probably some of the Kaizo hacks from 2008

I would ask if they have to be specifically SMW Kaizo hacks, but this is part of the 'SMW hack discussion' umbrella, so it's implied.

those layer 2 tricks in Stage 5 are very cool.

Sado-Mario isn't getting that much attention.
Lol shell puzzle break memes are so 2012. Also, I would say the biggest hacks are actually Cool or Cruel, Super Foss World, Super Dram World, and Mario must Die. Also the old popular classics like Masochistic Mission, Super Puzzle World, SMW Intrigue, Moltov Mario World, Pit of Death, Item Abuse, etc. AFH's hacks are pretty underrated outside of SMWCentral. Remember that Panga's hacks get huge attention from people outside of SMWCentral. Then there's the hacks that everyone forgot about, like Springboards and Shells, World of Pain, Makjang Mario, NBKevin98x's pit hack, and others.

·Anything by Darkguii is underrated and deserves more attention.
·OpposumFTW's kaizo puzzle hack was highly praised in the tas community but no one else remembers it.
·Super Panga World by linkdead
·All of regnum0nline's pit hacks
·life of glitches by Shadowdragon

There's so many other small hacks I've seen on YouTube that most people have forgotten about.

I am actually
satisfied, but a little more attention outside SMWC would be good. I mean I'm glad that I get here feedback, but a little more attention on YT would also be nice.

-I think Gibbl's Kaizohacks is very underrated
-SuperWario1999 is also good.
-I also think that nambona890 is talented in Kaizo hacking, even if I have not seen much

I gotta agree on this one. His demo hack on the hacks section is very well designed and I'm liking the look of the rest of the hack. Give him more love!

Random's Retarded Quest

I remember this hack and its sequel and how I found both very memorable back in the day, despite being unable to get through half of their levels due to how difficult and precise they were, but I could already note the creativity flowing (I think the sequel required walljumps in one level). The author even started remaking the first hack with the same style as the last one, but he suddenly got inactive and that decreased my hopes on seeing it finished...

Opossum's puzzle hacks are outstanding as well, and I made a hack based on these once. Masochist Frustration is really cool too (notgoodwithusernames, now with ToxicRave as his alternate username, intended to make it easier than his previous creations but never got further ahead with it), and I can't forget to mention how cleverly made the Burning in Hell series from the same author was.
Mario's Masochistic Mission was quite nostalgic despite revolving mostly on muncher dodging and repetitive design. I also found Makjang Mario fascinating, and it was a pity that worldpeace lost it as we couldn't get to play or watch the rest of the hack whenever he was done with it :/

the Burning in Hell series

Oh yeah, those too. I think one of the Burning in Hells started using the 'no jumping' generator way before it became "mainstream."
Mildly related to that, Burning in Hell for n00bs, which got 78th place in the 2011 VLDC.
