Review here as primised. And the hack is... honestly, kinda unpolished and did not provide me a fun experience. Found various problems, so let's point them out (note: I played the first version, but some stuff still ought to be revised).

Status bar goes behind the FG. Use
this patch to fix this.

Unfair section. There's no room to jump safely, and even worse - if you ever pass through the Chuck in there, you're greeted with a koopakick that's not only hard to avoid, but positioned in a way the player can't see nor expect. Please revise this level.

Sometimes, this happens. Dunno why, should be related to LX5's Powerups, but I dunno what could be done to avoid or fix this. Maybe hiding/removing Mario from the border?
>
Hard to tell what's FG and what's BG. I suggest revising this, either changing palette or GFX.
>
Dolphin tile error. It's present in original SMW, so the best way to avoid this is maybe removing the sprite. Make sure you use Dolphins preferably in levels without vertical scroll enabled. Or is there a fix I'm unaware of?

More of a nitpick, but there's cutoff in the trees, not to mention that you could vary its pattern. It's too repetitive the way it is now.

Badly pictured, but the boss look like they have infinite/too much HP, and I could easily farm 1ups as well. This is where I stopped playing, as I was unable to progress at all.
So yeah, this hack definitely needs more work. In fact, I didn't like how you built it basically ripping off
this hack. It doesn't make you and your hack look cool. The best advice I can give you is to try making a new hack from scratch. While it's good to take inspiration from others' works, you shouldn't deliberately copy them off.
