LOL who even used SM64ds multiplayer anymore

as i said, the graphics were bad for the ds standards (heck even the SNES showed it could do better with NSMB GFX), the character thing and, just to fucking dive you had to literally oddly move your hand in this uncomfortable way that just simply hurt. using a 3ds doesnt help either.
also sure we have updated GFX, and a small few new maps (like 2 or three if i remember) but the n64 was better with the framerate, physics and GFX as a whole and they should have just held off as making it for the DS tbh.

Well it was used a lot back in the day when it was relevant. I'd say that's all that matters.

The graphics were good for DS standards. Most games opted for using 2D pixel art because it's hard to make a good 3D looking game on the DS. You've got to give SM64DS credit were due.

Anyway it was a good launch title that I'm glad exists on the Nintendo DS.

Hi.
Speaking of controls I never had an issue with them.

I did find it odd that the mini-games didn't have multiplayer like they did on NSMB DS.
SM64DS came out first. They hadn't thought of implementing it yet.

Agreed.

One of the best titls for a DS game imo

also 16 Stereo sound channels ftw!

Hi.
SM64DS has a lot more content and gameplay options but the graphics are very pixelated. For what it is, though, it's pretty fun. And it includes a ton of minigames. Experimenting with Action Replay codes to replace objects with other objects was really fun too. And accessing the test level was pretty cool.
I actually like SM64DS, the extra characters and stars are a decent addition to the game. My issue, like everyone else, lies with the D-pad and run button. The controls are bad enough to prevent me from ever finishing the game.

If only SM64DS had been made for the GameCube instead. #tb{D'X}
