I want opinions!

Just thinking in composing some songs to put in my hack and I want to know how long you think is the ideal music duration for Overworld and levels.

I'm a beginner at composing but I'm trying, I'll leave here a sample. I wanna know if this pleases your ears rs.

I made using a Snes Soundfont that I found here in the Forums.

Please, click me Senpai! :3

Thank You!
Depends on the style you're going for. In the case of Super Mario World I'd say an Overworld theme is give or take 30 seconds. For a level theme that might go to about 60-80 seconds. There is no defining rule, longer songs however may take up more sequence data.

Now your song. At first an overworld seemed to fit, however as it traveled it became clear that a level theme is more suitable. Particularly it reminds me of a beach level. My only complaint is it's not progressive enough but that's just a matter of opinion. #smw{:TUP:}
As far as song lengths go, Brozilla pretty much said it the way I would have. The song itself could fit for an overworld or a level, but either way it works. I would suggest not using @9 though, maybe use @13 or @7 instead.

Honky Tonk and Steel Drum are SMW itself, I think I'll add new instruments, I'm using a soundfont in the song but I will adapt these instruments to my songs later.

Thnkas for the answers!
