Applying all Patch Fixes

Do you think it is right to apply as many patch fixes as you can towards your hack or will it just eat up space in your ROM and cause more glitches to occur?

I think it's right, but I don't go around and outright apply all of them since there are some advantages for vanilla bugs. It just depends on the person and how necessary the fix is.

Are you alive or just breathing?
Bugfix patches eat up next to no (often absolutely no) space, so you should be fine to apply them.
It just depends on which you want on your hack!

Some "fix" patches are indeed worse than what they supposedly fix (looking at you, hdma patch).

Personally I keep in all the bugs except the ones I fix myself. I can't think of too many that are simple fixes without downsides (maybe the coin above blocks glitch?).
Well, I'm not only going to apply bug fixes, but also some additional patches that would help with the gameplay.

I have a feeling that the more bug fixes that I apply, the more bugs I will come across and the more complicating things will get.

I think you can apply some additional patches (if not each of them). It will eat up a little space or absolutely not. I haven't tried this on mine, but I think it was helpful.

Is there a list of patches considered to be vital (or highly desired) bug fixes?

Chapter Two: Land of No Shame
I try to make my hack as polished as possible, and part of that is removing bugs that, well, bug me or get in the way of designing levels/maps/etc.
I only use patches when I get to a point where I need them, because some random fix patch that has no purpose in the game other than polish might not work with some custom sprite three levels back, and I want to minimize ASM errors like that.

Yeah, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation...
