The Mario Party series thread

Discuss anything related to the Mario Party series here.
Mario Party 6 is best

Played: 3,4,5,6,7,9,DS

Favorite minigame from 6 is Snow Whirled.
Favorite map is
Clockwork Castle
from 6.
The hardest minigame from 6 is Black Hole Boogie.

As Ive said many times lately, Mario Party 3 is hard.

Favorite minigame from 3 is End of the Line.
Favorite map is Chilly Waters from 3.
The hardest minigame from 3 is Merry Go Chomp.

I dont remember all of the others too well, but the
bowling minigame
from 9 was fun.

Overall Mario Party is fun
when youre not salty LOL
I like the older games a lot, and Mario Party DS.
The other ones aren't much for me.

I played all except 1, 3, and Advance.

My ranking of the numbered games:

7 > 6 > 5 >> 3 > 2 >> 4 >> 10 > 8 > 9 >> 1
I played 1-8 and DS.

5 and 7 were my favorites, the introductions of capsules you can place in spaces was a really good mechanic imo.

8 is my least favorite, the minigames felt really unispirted. Other than that I didn't dislike any game, although 3 and 4 felt tedious sometimes.

I always hated those "tap A as fast as you can" minigames, the computer always beat me in those. And it's just cheap difficulty, tbh.

That one is luck based though, if anything I'd call it stressful rather than hard. If I had to pick a hardest minigame (from the ones I remember) that would be Cheep Cheep Chase.
I don't play with the A.I. at all when playing Mario Party. If I do, I don't set them on Hard or Super Hard/Brutal, as it's near impossible to outmash them in most games, and they can be a total nusiance to the player in 1st, no matter what, instead of being strategic. I am a good button masher, so I usually win against human players at Cheep Cheep Chase, but the AI mashes IMPOSSIBLY fast, such as when you use Boo to steal Coins from the AI. Doing that will result in you only getting like, 15 or 16 coins, yet when a human player does it, they will lose at the very least 19. What the hell?!

This one Mario Party Discord group has this netplay thing where people gather to play Mario Party online, despite the lag and rendering issues at some points. I will probably post the link to it if I am allowed to, but not now.
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.
