I think it was originally going to be an Xbox One exclusive, so I'm just glad it made it to PC in the first place. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten to play (or who knows, maybe I would have - after all some Xbox One games can be played on PC). Anyways, I don't entirely rule out ports to PS4 or Switch later on. It just seems like it would make sense, considering the game was probably very expensive to produce and is sold for just 20€ on Steam. Plus, since it's not a 3D game, porting it over to even the Switch with good performance shouldn't be a big deal.

What's the deal with cuphead being only on xbone and PC?
PC Only? I could understand
Not on wiiu but xbone and ps4? I could understand
But just Xbox and not on PS4? What the fuck, seriously.

The game looks awesome, I really want to play it, I think it would be great if it got ported to switch. At least the ps4 though, come on.

Literally just play it on PC with a controller????????????????????????????????????????????????

my laptop sucks and i dont really even like steam, the only games ive played on it for a decent while are huniepop and umihara kawase
I just hacked the SNES Mini, I got Magical Popn, Umihara kawase, DKC2, Mario All-stars, all the games just work like magic. It's amazing, this is all I ever wanted. I can even edit the boxart to whatever I like, I took out FFIII and replaced it with FFVI, it tickles my ocd so nicely. I hadn't felt a real snes controller in so long, these replicas are great I just feel so damn happy. I'm just gonna die of nostalgia and actual good fucking games to play

Just completed SteamWorld Dig 2. An amazing game! They basically took everyting that was great from SteamWorld Dig and added 100% on top (more content, more variation, more story, more bosses, more polish, more fun). And with this, I think Image & Form games have just become my favorite Indie developer. Three out of three games I've played from them all were amazing - and this despite one of them being a turn-based strategy game and me not being into that genre at all. Absolutely recommend SteamWorld Dig 2, you'll be addicted within minutes.

Talking about "turn-based strategy" games, I just got Mario + Rabbids for 12,50€ via game dev connections today. I wasn't too wild about the game, considering its genre, but I thought for that price I might as well give it a try, so I guess this is what's coming next.

Just got done with Spirit of Justice. That was probably the longest and most intense final episode out of the main games. I could describe it as a feels trip over a pile of plot twists.
The civil case was different than what I'm used to, and the Kuh'rain half of the episode had virtually nothing to do with the civil trial, so they might as well have been in their own episode. There's also the investigation segment before the civil trial, which is fairly long but doesn't feel anything like a chore. Dhurke having already been dead was both heartrending and mind-screwey. By now the player probably has been trained to assume that if a part of a character is concealed beneath something then they're probably a walking spoiler, and Nayna fits the bill. I actually wondered if she was the murderer, and was surprised that she wasn't. Apollo's decision to stay in Kuh'rain was also kinda heartrending, tho if there is an AA7, they could explore the Divination Seances more, maybe even introduce a victim with synesthesia. Given the sequel hook, I wonder if AA7 will mention more of Apollo's relations to Thalassa and Trucy that were mentioned at the end of AJAA, or even feature a case where you have to defend Apollo.

Not yet 100% certain on if I wanna play the DLC case.

Nearly at the end of FF2 NES. Just got Paramekia and Jade to do and then Pandemonium and then I'm done!
Slowly inching up Tartarus in Persona 3 PSP as well as getting throught the months.

Recently, I've been playing through a Roguelite/Bullet hell Steam game called Monolith. If you've played stuff like Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon, Monolith plays similarly, but compared to those games, Monolith has more of a SHMUP feel to it, for a lack of a better word. Bosses fill the screen with bullets, you have a tiny hurtbox... It's that kind of game, but with randomized rooms and weapon pickups. It works a lot better than you think! Monolith isn't very well-known, which is a shame. It's a quality game that seems to have passed under the radar.
Well, damn. Some while ago, I ordered a pair of controller extension cables for my SNES Mini so that I could play comfortably without having to pull the console close to myself. The cables arrived this week so that I was finally able to test them today, and boy, what a disappointment. I tested Super Mario World for quite a while with and without cables, and the cables add a very noticable and severe input lag to the game. I would say around 5 to 10 frames. This makes the game pretty much unplayable for me. Heck, even Higan feels more responsive than that. Needless to say, I immediately requested a return. What makes me most salty here is that out of the 33 reviews, not a single one mentioned any input lag problems. Only two of them were negative to begin with, and they both just complained about receiving broken cables. This pretty much means that I shouldn't even bother checking other cables. Even if those had any input lag, reviews probably wouldn't mention it, so there's nothing for me to look out for. No wonder Nintendo kept the cables so short and didn't release any extension cables themselves. The SNES Mini controllers probably already have the maximum length they can have without introducing input lag themselves. Sounds weird, but I actually read that the interface used for those controllers focuses on low-latency data transfer, but requires a short cable length for that. I'm now convinced that this is true.

I recently jumped on the Cuphead bandwagon. I think this screen is a good indicator of the difficulty.
And this is only Inkwell Isle II. The animation style kinda helped me want to watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The Tetris effect caused me to see some of these characters as potential bosses. I like how the jazzy soundtrack is something that you would never have guessed would be for a Nintendo-hard Gunstar Heroes-inspired game

What ended up helping me alot was a random usb extender lying around my house, instead of making the cord longer, it helped me sit back farther by being able to move the console further from my TV and wall outlet. I haven't noticed any lag this way. I carry around the super Nintendo alot, so I don't really have a set place for it in my room and I don't mind having it floating out in the middle of the room.
Yeah, that (coupled with a long HDMI cable) could help. However, the problem is that my current room setup doesn't really allow putting the SNES Mini in front of me. I'm using my PC monitor for gaming an the only place I can really put the SNES Mini is somewhere on the sides. There are mini tabbles there, but we usually use them for other stuff and it's too easy for the SNES Mini to slip off. The only place where I feel "save" about it is further away from my desk, but of course that requires longer controller cables. Kind of a tricky situation.

Super Bomberman was okay, awful bosses.
Star Fox aged pretty poorly, sadly.

it sucked

Edit: Also did a 100% run of SMW (all exits, all dragon coins) and its design philosophy is still better than most of the "nintendo wannabe" hacks lol

On the SEBEC path of Persona 1 PSP and just Beat Tesso. I can tell that I A) Need more/better personas and B) not high enough level because I had to keep running from a lot of battles...
In the month of August in Persona 3 PSP. It is getting increasingly more difficult to put this game down.
Inching through Chapter 1 of Trails in the Sky. I plan to get all the achievements in one run (minus the shining pom one, don't want to even attempt that until new game +)

Mario Party Advance - Decent for GBA but sorta repetitive and cliche.

Pocky and Rocky - A cool type of "shootemup" not common to most people. Not bad for the SNES.

Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon - I always passed over this game of constant lists so I'm finally playing it. It's weird yet pretty cool. I finished the first dungeon and now I'm
controlling g this epic Ninja mech bot
.
