And you mean Windows Movie Maker, right? I forgot all about that, I'll go ahead and try that out.

Yup. Also this map looks very good!

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

I haven't been able to work on this hack as often as I usually do thanks to school, but I managed to dish something to show off in the little free time I have.

Ice Cream Tundra 3: Frosty Forest
Song that plays: Cloudy Beach

This is basically an extension of the original level, Frigid Forest. I fixed the palettes a bit, and added HDMA as well as the snow effect.
I'm also working on the ghost house. It's not finished, but I'll show what I've got so far:

Ice Cream Tundra 4: (currently unnamed)
Song that plays: Dance with a Boo

Not much to say about it other than it introduces Boos and colored blocks.

I also had the bright idea of changing Grape Ruins up a bit. And now that I know how use overworld HDMA, I can really put the idea to use.

Ruins + Space, because I haven't seen anyone do that before and I think a space theme would go great with the theme of the world. I haven't started on the space part, but you can probably get an idea of what I have in mind.

Dang man, those palettes are insane. Seems like you got a knack for them.
thingamajig for 3-5

I know the image quality is horrendous but blame the gif converter I used

Weird... Your previous GIF had the size of native 256x224. Maybe you used another GIF converter, did you?

As for the ExAnimation, it's really nice and the mix of SMB3 and SMW aesthetics flowed out well! Good job and good luck with your hack!

Ice Cream Tundra 5: Freezeflame Inferno
Song that plays: Starry Skies

(yes i died)
First half is a pretty standard lava level, and introduces Fire Snakes. Everyone's favorite enemy!

Song that plays: Tyrian - Space Journey 1

Second half is a short underground section that using rising lava on layer 2. Haven't finished decorating it yet.

Everything looks nice, but uh, upside down lava? Doesn't make sense, but whatever. Anyway, for a name, how about, "Lava Lake Limbo"?
Also, I have the same problem with clever names.

Haven't the official Mario games had upside down lava pits, or am I just making things up? In any case, it's not that out of place in a world of magic flowers and mushrooms, carnivorous plants that live in pipes and friendly dinosaurs that give rides, heh.

And yeah, coming up with good level names is ironically one of the hardest parts about making levels, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who sucks at it lol

I see your point. I guess if it's a Mario game, you can pretty much do anything lmao.

Ice Cream Tundra 6: (currently unnamed)
Song that plays: Ledah's Theme

Introduces bounce blocks and climbing nets. Too lazy to finish decorating rn

That level looks pretty good! I like the level design of your hack. The last screenshot looks empty by decoration.

Keep up the good work!

Submap for a special little thingimabob that I have planned

Well since no one said a word I guess I'll elaborate
The map is for my...level sampler?
It's a selection of my 7 favorite levels, compiled onto one map for you all to test out. So, yeah, basically a level sampler, but I don't want to call it that because this isn't a special event like C3. These levels include...

World 1-1: Pineapple Plain Way

World 1-3: Sandstone Stroll

World 2-Castle: Cavern Fortress

World 3-2: Snowstorm at Sunrise

World 3-5: Freezeflame Inferno

World 4-Castle: Moonlit Fortress

World A-1: Overgrown Shrine

So, you're probably wondering why I'm not putting out a traditional demo instead...and the answer to that is, I've been reworking a bit of worlds 1 and 2, and it's kinda taking a while because I'm lazy, but I wanted to show something off since it's been so long. I won't release this tonight because I'm still reviewing over a couple of the levels, but it'll definitely be released this week--possibly even tomorrow.

For including just some random levels the OW looks pretty good. It doesn´t make much sense of course, but its appearance is still wonderful.

It also looks like that you´ve chosen some outstandingly beautiful and/or interesting levels to show off. I wonder if the levels are that good as the screenshots promise. I hope I won´t be disappointed #tb{;)}

Alrighty then, I think it's ready:

Here we are, the SMOW level sampler! Hopefully everything works as intended, but let me know if anything goes wrong, or if you run into any issues or bugs.

Known issues:
Ends of snake blocks aren't solid and hurt Mario
Hitting extending blocks from below also hurts Mario

That's about all I can think of. Enjoy!
...Or don't.

Uh, on my computer, it says that the .zip file is invalid.
please click this!
Try opening it with 7Zip/WinRar, not Windows Explorer.
Alright, try this .zip instead:

If it still doesn't work, just download the .bps file directly:

Knowing whether the file works now would be nice-
