[SM64 Hack] Super Banjo-Kazooie 64 REDUX Demo

Hello everybody,

I managed to finish off a demo before C3 deadline for this Banjo-port that I think many will enjoy.

It has 18 stars (jiggies) total, and a lot of custom coded and custom imported material.
Jannik, Shygoo, Quasmok, and Stomatol all pitched in some work to help this be as good as it is.
Without further ado, here is a video preview, and here is the download to a bps patch.
Enjoy!

Edit: Updated link to v1.01 for some bugs that made it impossible to get all jiggies :S
Is this planned to span the entire game eventually? The first stage seems like a much more straightforward porting process than later ones would be to me, so it'd be interesting to see that.

Looks really nice already though, the little Mario entrance plate detail is very good.
Your layout has been removed.

If it keeps getting the attention that it is atm from outside sources, then yeah, I'll continue with it. Shygoo and Jannik (Waschpenner) were really nice to work with for custom ASM so it'd be cool to work with them in continuation to make the game really play out. And glad you liked the mario-face warp-pad; Quasmok edited the textures for me to make it look just like the original but with Mario :) I think he did a great job.
this is really sick. hope you'll continue it, even if its just "mario in banjo kazooie", i think that alone is enough to be a really different and fun experience.

hopefully there'll be some more enemy variety than a million goombas, though. maybe trying to use underused sm64 enemies in different contexts? 🤷
I actually had this exact same idea, but I lack the skills to actually do it.

After your done with this one though then you have the put banjo into the sm64 rom! :)

best wishes.
