SMW Hacking on other Operating Systems

Unfortunately, I don't speak German. Google Translate spits this out:

I think man can still what to improve for lunar magic

So I'm not really sure what you're trying to say...

But in other news, I made the switch back to Linux on Sunday, so I'm finally able to retest everything and modernize the list. Could still use a Mac user for the OS X list, though...
I know, it's offtopic but w/e.

His German isn't really perfect too (might be even relative young, something like 11, 12 years). Here is it what I understand roughly:

Not really off-topic. Thanks for helping translate that. Still not sure what he means, though...#wario{<_>}

Lunar Magic works perfectly in Wine on Linux at least. I can't speak from experience running in Wine on a Mac, but it probably works fine.
Thanks for the list! It's really reassuring. (:

My only real complaint is that GPS isn't mentioned here, so it took me a while before I could find it. Especially a problem since BTSD doesn't work on linux.
Yes. I gotten around to updating the list yet, but I hope to get it updated this week.
Do you think chrome os will ever be supported, or will that just stay as is? Cromebooks aren't very powerful bit is it possible?

I don't know too much about Chrome OS. However, I believe it's basically Chrome that runs on top of some version of Linux. If you can find a way to install native Linux software, you can probably get Wine and an emulator installed and running.
Interesting. It's still a new OS, and allot of programs have alternate apps (Skype-Hangouts, Pandora-Spotify etc) but I can't see LM ever develop compatibility for it, much less an alternative that can both compete with LMs features while running smoothly on a Chromebook.

Yes, unfortunately FuSoYa is stubborn and won't open source LM, so we're stuck running it through Wine or a VM, at least for the foreseeable future.
We should make a version of Lunar Magic for Android tablets and/or iPhones. How's that sound?#smw{:peace:}

Porting LM to Android wouldn't work well anyway. A new editor from scratch would work better. Of course the job would be easier if FuSoYa released at least the .asm part of Lunar Magic but it's not that hard to adapt the editor into LM's ASM hacks standards.

Hello!
Are there any level editor for ms-dos, nes or wii (Homebrew App) available?
Thanks for a reply!
Tim.#w{=D}
You can use LM on Wii. Just get Linux for Wii.
Wubba lubba dub dub.
This thread says sprite tool runs natively on Linux. Has anyone actually tried that? It will compile, but it uses a lot of windows specific stuff (\\, .exe, etc.), so it doesn't work out of the box. Unless I'm using an old version or something, but my version has asar support, so it can't be that old.
My Windows has failed, looking for information on hacking with Linux.
Do programs such as pixi, gps, asar work?

All three of those are open-source and can be compiled just like anything else (though cmake may be required for some).
Yeah I've gotten those to work now, however has anyone gotten the CFG included with pixi to work with wine? I haven't been able to and it should probably be added to the list unless I'm missing something...
What About XP???#tb{:?}
If you mean Windows XP, then you probably don't need to worry about this thread at all; Lunar Magic certainly works fine, and every other program from here worked perfectly fine for me back when I used Windows XP.
