Does anyone else have short-term interests?

It seems like everything that I do, I eventually get bored with it: whether it's editing videos, animating, designing levels, coding, etc. I can never have a fixated interest, it's all over the place. #tb{D'X}

2.) There are times where I have great ideas, although I don't have the motivation to execute those ideas and they end up being cancelled projects (that's why I sympathize with SMWCP2, *cough*)

3.) There are times where I don't have any ideas what-so-ever, although I'm pressured to create content by others (whether it's a video or even to finish a SMW hack)

For instance, I would always have thrilling ideas for my animations or videos, but the process of animating and editing videos are a pain! #tb{:(}

As for level designing, it's not the fact that it's a pain, in fact it's fun to me, but my problem is how to properly execute it.
It's one thing to look at level designs from a game such as Super Mario 3D World or even Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but it's another thing to execute it yourself.

Anyway, which of these three themes do you guys relate to?
How do you get yourself motivated with ideas?

This is the exact same problem I've had since early 2016, and honestly I haven't been able to get rid of it. It's gotten a little better over time, but still not quite there, so sadly I have no way of helping you (yet) :( Just posting to let you know you're not alone.

to hear birds and see none.
Yes. I've dropped plans I thought would last forever - namely and notably producing electronic music. Dropped several hacking projects I thought at the time looked promising as well. I keep saying I'm going to get into drawing and stuff, but when I get to it I do it just once or twice seriously and then forget about it. Basically, I'm under the risk of losing my current interests all the time

Thankfully, it doesn't happen if the thing I'm doing is pretty solid. I haven't lost interest in my university course for example lol. I'm also hoping to get into playing guitar once I get to buy one, and I feel that interest I'm not gonna lose either
But for minor hobbyist stuff, I find it hard to invest myself
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
I can relate to the majority of those for a long time. I've started countless hacks numerous times yet I give up if I feel like they aren't "perfect" (I admit I'm OCD), had plans to hang out with friends but never executed them, and it goes on and on. Then I end up forgetting about it as well.

I really have no way to keep these interests if I keep being like that, but oh well, it happens.
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
Yep, way too much. I change the game I play most daily (figureatively) and that leaves a TON of unfinished buisness. It's frustrating, but there's the counter argument of 'play whatever you enjoy most and don't feel bored doing so'.
My interests seem to come and go. Sometimes I will be working on a project and then completely lose interest in it a few weeks or months later, and then decide to come back to it weeks or months after that, and the cycle continues.

Ironically, the one recent project that I haven't been able to get any work done on is my ROM hack. Although, that's partly attributable to the fact that I'm so interested in finding solutions to a small OW sprite problem that I don't have enough interest in anything else about the hack.

This is the epitome of my life! #tb{:DD}

And sometimes when you actually do find the solution to the small problem, it's too late because you're interest is towards something else at the moment.

I've wanted to make a SMW hack for well over ten years now, and I still have the same problem: I get some bursts of inspiration, but they just come and go and I can spend years without any inspiration. My lack of ASM knowledge just makes things worse.
i just lurk sometimes
