RED-FIRE and Majestic Sales present: Scooby Doc 4: The Destroyer (featuring Atsushi Onita)

Yoshiatom's Post

What in Wild Mike's name is this?

Scooby Doc 4 is a boss rush game staring Skull Man from Mega Man 4, featuring over 15 unique bosses to battle, 6 weapons to chose from and a couple of stages(!) for good measure.

What makes this different from [insert other fangame here]?

Unlike other fangames, Scooby Doc 4 is less grounded in the Mega Man universe and features much crazier bosses, along with an offbeat sense of humour. Skull Man himself also has the ability to dash and wall jump, giving more mobility akin to Mega Man X.

How long until the game is finished?

Scooby Doc 4 releases this fall/autumn! Currently the game is about 80% done.

Are there any more trailers of the game?

SOON, COMING SOON, Gameplay Trailer and Title Reveal.

Who are RED-FIRE and Majestic Sales?

RED-FIRE is Smedis2's "professional" game development "studio". They specialize in fangames and original IPs, though it's usually the former. You might have heard of their most recent game, GRAND DAD. They also made Skull Man Kills, which is basically a spiritual prequel to Scooby Doc 4.

Majestic Sales Inc is a subset of RED-FIRE run by TwistC. Scooby Doc 4 is their first project.

So Yoshiatom, why are you making this thread?

I'm doing beta testing for the game! (I'm also the one showing off the sick controller support in the trailer) I can also say I'm happy with how the game is shaping up and I'm enjoying testing it. Can't wait for the game to be ready for you guys to play.

He, now that's a trailer. Admittedly, without reading this thread, I wouldn't have fully comprehended what this game is even about, nevertheless I liked the trailer's humorous style. Also an interesting take at a video game/boss battle remix though why would anyone actually reference Action 52. At the very least, I can say that I'm interested in this and would give this a try.
