(Solved) SMB2 Mushroom Block behaving incorrectly

Hi all, this is my first post here. I'm sure this is a newbie question, but after a few hours of troubleshooting myself I have to break down and ask for help...

First off, I'm trying in incorporate the SMB2 Mushroom Block by mikeyk.

I believe it's been successfully inserted with GPS and the graphic provided (ExGFX5BB)

However, after inserting the sprite portion of the block with Pixi, and placing the ExGFX(5B2) in the noted SP4 slot I get this sprite when Mario picks it up.

Also, once it has been picked up it does not revert back to a mushroom block when dropped, but rather behaves somewhat like a shell.

(It animates between this sprite and the one being held when kicked)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:
After a few more hours of fiddling with the asm files code, and having a somewhat similar problem with the Donut lift block/sprite. I figured out that I needed to set the "Sprite Number" to its corresponding location in my GPS list.txt file. As well as point back to the Map16 location in the sprite asm file (mushroom_block.asm) before running through Pixi.
