I saw some talk about Gooey breaking some text in posts in this site. Some people don't only hate this for such hindrance it brings, but also for its goofy look. I don't like it much, either. If you want part of your text function correctly, i.e. without Gooey, you must use tag 'code' or HTML class 'filter-noemote' or separate characters from one another with space. Here I give a couple examples of strings that can be affected by Gooey.
Otherwise, they would be:
Typeort

Typeriginal
Authorsarius
See? Now they're looking more amusing than they ought to and you can't read them without getting distracted.
I see two fixes in this situation:
1) Allowing emoticons to display in posts only when emoticons are separated by spaces
2) Removing Gooey set once and for all
If either possibility gets implemented, I'll be happy.
