Hello,
I had a question about submitting a fixed version of a fixme hack. So basically, the main issues in fixme hacks are the music breaks, multiplication, and other compatibility issues with accurate emulators. When I do or watch other's play these hacks as well there's also other issues that occur in these hacks that can cause issues for the players such as either getting stuck in the level/overworld, the game crashing/softlocking, bad slopes, etc.
Now for some miscellaneous issues such as these I did add in optional patches for crash fixes and such for the fixed version of Super Mario Infinity. However with some of the other issues in this hack I'm currently fixing involves you to go into Lunar Magic and edit minor parts of the levels to stop issues such as bad exits, getting stuck in the level/overworld, bad overworld events, sprite issues. Now from what I've seen with these LM edits, it's improbable to put these issues into an optional patch form as an ASM file.
So what I've been recently doing is adding two bps patches into each hack I fix now outside of SMWCentral as some people have understandable concerns over these others issues changing how the hack was originally submitted. I've made one BPS with only music/compatibility fixes, and another for both the music/compatibility fixes and playability fixes.
So my question is this, is it acceptable for me to submit a zip with both bps files or should I just submit one patch only fixing compatibility issues?
Thank you and have a great day!
