looking for a specific hack, or is it a homebrew I get the 2 confused...

Vinesauce was playing games last year around august and he came across a ROM hack or homebrew that had some very distinct music in it.

If anyone knows what this is please let me know I want to find this rom and play it as well as remake the music for myself.
So all you have is a audio track? Hmmm

That might be kind of hard to find because in SMW hacking you can use audio songs interchangeably between games. So just because one has that song in it doesn't mean that its the game you specifically want.

The difference between hacks and homebrew are the following:

A hack is a pre-existing game that a person edits.

A homebrew is a game from scratch.

However you could make a homebrew and then loose all of your original tools or whatever and then the only way you could then edit your own game would be to hack it.
Ya sadly all I have is the audio. If I can't get the specific ROM, but a ROM with that audio track I'd take it. But I can't find the video which I saw the SMW ROM. I think it was a homebrew because it was completely custom looking. Had multiple paths and that music was one of the levels.
Well, lets put together some more puzzle pieces and try and figure this out.

Are you use Vinesause was playing a hack? Does this person usually play hacks or homebrew? If they mostly play hacks then maybe it was a hack.

Is that song here at the SMWC music database. Maybe go ask over in that section if anyone knows this song. If the song is in the database here then it might be that the game was a hack.

Can you ask Vinesause himself if he knows or go back and watch all of his videos and see if you can find it again?

Happy clue hunting.

Vinesauce was doing what he calls corruptions, where he uses a program to manually cause glitches and stuff to older games like NES to playstation etc... He had what is called a stockpile which is a collection of corruptions someone else had made. I dont recall the username of the person who volunteered the stockpile.

How would I go about searching the music on this site, or do I post on the forum or?

Lastly I have no way of contacting Vinesauce he uses twitter and I dont, nor have I ever really used it so I don't know how that works.
Find the video of him doing the corruptions and just painstakingly watch the whole thing and hope you find it.
Thats just it, Ican't find that video again. I know there are video's he's set to private for some reason and I have a feeling one of those was the video that I need. I've spent many days so far looking through potential content but it seems I can't find it and no one knows the song :/. Guess I have to just accept defeat this time.

EDIT: Also I have gone through a few pages of the music section and downloaded one of the songs but I don't know how to play it. It's in a weird format.
I finally found it. The video where he Vinesauce plays it. It's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-rfaKSigDY&list=PLlc94szfcNDHKqhXZdUhUnv0MW0830ciM&index=7

Around the 18:20 mark. This hack or rom whatever it is, looks fun and I'd love to find it.
