I just answered your PM with a step-by-step on how to use the patch for simple colour changes, but I'll paste it here as well in case anyone else wondering how to do this finds this thread on Google or something:
1) Download the
patch I linked above.
2) Open "cuspal.asm" in Notepad.
3) Scroll down to the PaletteTable (where there are a bunch of dw's followed by $FFFF).
4) Change the hexadecimal color values to your choosing. After some experimenting, it looks like the default palette is using Color 1, so change the numbers on the second line.
5) To find out what the numbers are that you'll want to use, open LM's palette editor and mess around with the colors until you find one you like, and then look at the bottom of the window to where it says "SNES RGB value" and copy that number in. For instance, if you want it bright red then change it to $001F.
6) Save the patch and apply it with
Asar, and you're all set!
Also, you can change the background of the logo screen as well by editing the line that says "!BackdropColour = $0000". Edit the hex color the same way as before.
