question about updating my hack

in the last weeks i only got 2 levels done, made some fixes here and there, made a title screen with music and polished the OW events and added a 'welcome stage' with some hidden goodies.

is that enough to update it?

whould be nice if some moderators whould answer too, if i can press 'update submission' or if i should do that later, when i have 4-5 levels done, or even more.
I would wait to have a more substantial update in my opinion, but you're free to update it now too.

It's more of a preference than a rule.
I know, but i respect the time of the mods, that said i will Update it after at least 3 more levels are done.
Like it was said, you can update whenever you want, but talking from my own personal view I think its best to release 1 or 2 demos while the hack is still in development, and then wait to release the full game when it is fully completed.
Not only that will avoid to spoil the game for the players that wait to play the full game later but you will also be cooperating with the mods in keeping the site less flooded.

I'm not a moderator, but I was told that each time we update our hacks the mods have to go through the entire thing again+ whats was added and check if its everything working and if there arent any gamebreaking bugs, glitches, crashes, etc.
With means that it is tiresome for them, especially with long 100+ exits hacks with higher dificulties curves.

Also, if we need to have people playing our hacks for feedback, we can always release a beta outside of the hacks sections(the WIP of your hack or the international subforum of your language are good places for this) and since it is a test-beta it wont need to go through the whole process of moderating, etc.
Check out my profile to see a list of SMW Hacks I made and where to find the latest and best version of them.
Thanks for playing and have fun!

What do you mean by that? Having multiple demos for the same hack in one section or submitting a lot of updates? If the former, it's indeed flooding as the previous versions will be removed. If the latter, it's just wasting moderators' time.
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Erm. Neither. He just means that it gives the mods more work to do in general if we're submitting hack updates every time we add a couple more levels, even if we wait for the latest version to be accepted.

He's right - even if you're not technically spamming or flooding your latest hack demos, going through the latest version of your hack to moderate still takes up their time that they could be spending going through the rest of those long lists of files to accept.
