Real Hardware Compatibility

Hi SMW Community!

How can i determine if a hack will run on real hardware?

I recently bought a SNES and got into the smw hacking. Now I am curious to know if there is any way to check (in an emulator) if a hack will run on the real console. I am going to flash my own boards (Yes, I can solder, programm and understand assembly#tb{:>})

Furthermore, is there any way to convert a game from ntsc to pal? Otherwise i'll have to modify my console to get proper speed.

Thanks for your help,
Stapelueberflieger #smrpg{y}

Verify using bsnes, it's cycle-accurate for the most part. However, hacks that don't work properly in certain accurate emulators or console will be denoted as such in the descriptions.

Also, some hacks use special chips such as MSU-1 or SA-1 so, heads up.

Thanks, this will save me a lot of work!

So basically everything that runs well in bsnes. I will update my findings here on smw central.
