Audio Problems with FreedoMN

Hello. I recently downloaded a ROM hack titled Super Mario World FreedoMN. However, I'm having a problem where, as soon as I start the second level, there is a loud popping noise and most of the audio stops for the rest of the game. Does anyone know how to fix this?
This is an issue with older rom hacks that use older Addmusic which allowed for incorrect music to be inserted.
What emulator are you using because you can't easily fix the rom but newer emulators have ways of making them playable.

I use the Snes9x emulator.
Click emulator on the menu bar

Click Hacks...

Say ok

Check Separate Echo Buffer from RAM

That will fix the issue with the music and if you ever see screen flickering changing the CPU Overclock in the same menu from None to Low or Medium will fix that. Just be warned anything that's CPU depending will run faster and could possibly throw off timing of stuff.
