Description: This is an original piece written by me. "Vitriolic Assail" is an animation I'm working on, so I decided to make the main theme sound like a battle theme.

Best suited for Bosses, fast paced levels, and maybe even ship levels. I can also faintly hear it resemble a carnival level song.

This song has a few issues that I feel amplify each other and sort of make it a bit messy ultimately. In short, the composition itself is very chaotic, the sample choice isn't the best, and the mixing makes it very cluttered.

First, the composition itself often feels like a messy sequence of random notes. Where this becomes especially noticeable is around 0:28 when the piano kicks in. In general, it feels like there's somewhat of a lack of cohesion between the lead and the chords that accompany it, but this is mainly because of the lead's lack of structure. Personally, I would suggest pacing out the lead a bit and just removing a lot of the notes and giving it more thought-out direction overall. Maybe you could touch up on some music theory as well, specifically about chords and keys, and rhythms and song structure in order to better lay out the song.

Second, and this is the major problem with this port, is that the mixing isn't great. The accordion lead is really loud and overpowers everything else. The port being entirely mono also greatly brings down its enjoyability, especially given how messy everything is. Sections like 0:27 have a lot going on due to the rapid and random notes on multiple channels, and the fact that it's all centered makes it very difficult to hear what's going on without everything sort of overlapping.

Finally, this is more of a personal preference, but the choice of samples don't work super well either. Both the accordion and piano samples are sort of low-quality for my taste, especially together.

In short, I would suggest trying to clean up this song to reduce its messiness, and then play around with mixing, specifically volume and panning, to give it more of a fleshed-out sound. Best of luck!
