Bad Checksum- fix?

Link Thread Closed
i need a fix for a bad checksum. i am trying to play a SMW rom that has been patched with a hack called Luigi's Adventure (overseas edition), but when i try to load it on SNES9X, it says bad checksum, and is unable to load my rom. can anyone offer a fix, whithout getting too technical? this has happened to all my rom hacks lately, but i dont know WHY!?
Currently Playing: SMW (Of course!)
Umm,a bad checksum can be fixed by saving the game in Lunar Magic. Or its not compatable with that emulator you are using.

More likely you patched a bad rom (or a good rom with a bad patch).

A real system might care about checksums (crude copy protection method), but emulators do not.
its probably a bad ROM. i seem to only have success with roms from a certain site. thanks for the help everyone :D

How can i save in a lunar magic? I have a same problem as him/her.
Please make a new thread for your problem instead of bumping a 9 year old thread besides that a bad checksum doesn't mean too much because the checksum isn't used.
