3D Artings

As of early this year I was convinced I could work on 3D modelling to the motivation of my bf. I'm absolutely terrible at art in a 2D space but the first time I opened Blender I was able to make stuff with ease to my surprise whether it was sculpting, simple shapes, textures, lighting, etc. A while back the bfs floated the idea to sketch up our own personal Keyblades from the Kingdom Hearts series. Since I made mine somewhat complex I didn't want to burden 2D artists with the task of drawing it themselves so I took it upon myself to make it in Blender and to my surprise, it came out so much better than I thought.

This one was my own personal keyblade which I named "Key of F" lol.

I wanted something that was basically me and my interest so this abomination made its way to my sketchbook and eventually to Blender. I'm quite happy about how it turned out.

I made one for the bf here as well.

Since he's a medical worker, he drew this up as a sketch when I made mine. Basically a "weaponized" version of the universal symbol for medicine. Caduceus I think it's called? I'm not 100% sure. I didn't add a token on this render since it was one of the first I finished making.

And the other bf's keyblade/claw.

He wanted his to be like "spring loaded" I guess lol. He's an actual 2D artist unlike us so his sketch was pretty detailed and hard to figure out but he loved the result. This is around when I leaned to sculpt in Blender which is an entire different level of frustrating.

Seeing as how 3D modelling has taken off lately I figured I'd show what I've made. Being in the furry community I noticed that there's a lot of people looking to get their OCs made for things like VR Chat so this could be a new step forward for me but only time will tell!
I think a post layout goes here somewhere...
These actually look pretty neat! Really like the idea of mixing these random objects with key blades, and it's look pretty cool, too!

Also good job on getting into 3D so quickly. There's likely still a lot you can learn, but from personal experience, I know that even getting to a level where you can do just decent stuff in 3D can be quite the challenge.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
