Even though my the first hack is still under moderation, I've decided to work on the sequel. I've learned to use fake HDMA, ON/OFF blocks and, most importantly, sideways munchers, so you'll see them in this hack. I also worked on the level list, I may change it in the future, though.
UPDATED
1: A New Adventure (Simple grassland level)
2: Mario's Fishing Spot (Half layer 3 water, half water level)
3: Endless Forest (Maze)
4: Mario vs Physics (sprites act like they're in water)
5: Pointless (ascetic level) (creative name lol)
6: Tricky Fortress 2 (level with challenges and glitches)
7: Cool or Kruela (exactly as it sounds like)
8: Shroom Abuse (reference to my cancelled kldc2020 entry)
9: College Tuition (You can't walk nor jump, most of the time)
10: GAME-BREAKING (final level. Nothing more, nothing less)

I don't know much about the other hack other than some snippets you show on Discord every now and then, but this one seems like an alright hack. I'm not too sure about the HDMA cause it kinda looks nonsensical - is it supposed to represent a sunset on a grassy environment?

Here's a preview from stage 5, the gimmick here is to collect 30 coins for a star block in an ascetic level. Aesthetics aren't final of course

For some reason, I only know about this project until now.

Kaizo hacks with long, epic level are a rare sight nowaday (the hack section is filled with Kaizo:Light). Mario Drug Trip 3, and (sort of) Thrill & Skill are the only 3 active WIP projects that I know of. So it's really nice to see another hack of this type.

As for the levels, in general, they are varied in setups, and many of them are creative.

- Stage 1: I like the mushroom escorting puzzles and the section with football chuck and game-pausing (I never know about this interaction before).
- Stage 4: Nice usage of the 'water-for-sprite-only' gimmick in this level. The vertical-wrap room with screen scrolling is my favorite. There's too many item-juggling setups, however. The double-key juggling room also drag on for a bit too long (it would have been better if the room only require the player to go forward without backtracking).
(Haven't watched stage 2 and 3 yet)

Nice work so far, and I'm really excited to see how this hack come out.

About that double key juggling part, i've already changed it, hope you liked stages 2 and 3 too!
Amazing level as always. I like how you put the asceticism concept to good use.

As I told you on the comments though, the coin counter at zero may confuse you, as you can't keep track of how many coins you collected in order to hit the star block at the end. I really dig the kaizo trap at the end, nonetheless.

Lately I've been lacking the motivation to work on this hack. Nonetheless, i still managed to make something for stage 9 here.

It's been a while since i've worked on this but I'm finally getting some motivation. I'm also trying to fix these sfx issues i keep having.

I've done some more progress for stage 6 and now i'm about halfway done with it. In the meantime, here's another early preview of the final stage.
Very clever level, I like a lot of the ideas. Plenty of things I haven't tried before like working with stunned shells and the like. Certainly plenty of new ideas I'll have to consider in the future, even if I don't understand them all :p

I don't get the point of duplicating the P-switches in the Reznor battle. Is it so the goal takes less time to come during the breaking bridge sequence?

Reznor bosses use the address $151C, which determines which reznors have been defeated. For each reznor, $151C is set to 0 if it's not defeated, and 1 if it is defeated. The level ends if there's a reznor in slot 7 and address $151C from sprite slot 7 to 4 sums up to 4. Those are the sprite slots reznors spawn in in vanilla smw, and after defeating all of them, $151C is set to 1 for slots 7,6,5 and 4, thus 1+1+1+1=4. If there's only one reznor in the room, you can kill it but it won't end the level. Address $151C is also used by other sprites, and one of these is the pswitch. For a pswitch, $151C is set to 0 of it's a blue pswitch, and 1 if it's a grey pswitch. Therefore, if i kill the one reznor in the room, then spawn grey pswitches in slots 6,5 and 4, address $151C in slots 7-4 will sum up to 4 (1 defeated reznor + 3 grey pswitches) and the level will end.
