Collections

I don't know if a thread about collections has been made before. Even so, it's probably buried so deep that posting in it would surely be necromancy.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm not the only person on this site who collects something. Of course, in my case, that thing is Transformers. I've been collecting them since 1998 and now have over 150 pieces. I'll just link to the images so I don't risk stretching the forum table.

Go ahead and post pics of whatever you collect. It doesn't have to be Transformers.

That's a pretty respectable Transformer collection, and very nicely presented! I love it!

As for me, two things in particular come in mind: My physical game collection (the majority being Switch games), and my Amiibo collection. Both of which I've attached pictures for. The Amiibo picture is kinda shitty, though, because only the top-most row in my display case is currently getting proper lighting. The light just doesn't reach any rows below that due to how much stuff I have in there. What you see isn't even the entire display case, but only the top half.

EDIT: Also, whoops, I have no idea why these pictures have such a horrible quality. My phone's camera is actually pretty decent. I assume it's because I forgot to turn on the flashlight. As a result, none of the spines are actually readable. Whoops.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
@RPG Hacker: Thanks. Your Amiibo collection looks really nice too. I had no idea there were so many Amiibos out there. Yeah, I could only make out Pokemon X in that game collection.

Thanks! Indeed, there's a ridiculous amount of amiibo. I don't even nearly have all of them. I gave up on trying to get them all once they started releasing a ton of Animal Crossing ones. After buying some of them, I just realised that I don't even have an attachment the the series and didn't want to get all of them. Now I'm more or less back to buying just the ones I like. There's still a bunch that are missing from my collection that I'd like to get at some point, though. For example, I still couldn't get my hands on a Cloud amiibo. I also really want the alternative skin for Bayonetta. Unfortunately both of those are quite expensive to get.

I have a quite a few of Galoob's Star Wars Action Fleet line, a line of Original Trilogy and Episode 1 Star Wars ships they produced from about 1995 to 2000, or whenever they were bought by Hasbro. I don't have any pictures at the moment but I have almost every X-Wing variation, a few of the TIE Fighters, including the Defender, one of the B-Wings, the weathered A-Wing, the battle damaged snowspeeder (but not the playset it goes to) the Yavin base playset, and a couple of the misc. Ep I vehicles they made because I got them with some other things in an auction several years ago. I also have the boxes for a bunch of these, but those are all in storage somewhere along with some of my Action Fleets that I put away for certain reasons a couple years ago.

I also have some Star Wars LEGO, mostly Original Trilogy but I do have some prequel sets too. I've wanted to get the newer UCS Y-Wing because it looks super awesome, but like all licensed LEGO these days, it's damn expensive. That, combined with the fact I just don't have the space meant that I had to stop getting LEGO in general.

And of course there's video games, no pictures either because I'm not at home where most of my stuff is

Well, let's see here...

First up is my considerable Magic: The Gathering card collection. The 6 big boxes are for regular decks (i.e., "casual, anything goes") and decks in progress, the half-sized one over to the right is for Commander decks (and, right now, Archenemy Schemes), the single-row box to the right of that is for basic lands, and the corn dog box is for tokens. The four partly-open boxes at the top are for cards and decks that didn't fit elsewhere. The rightmost one is about 40% full, and the others are completely full. The binder on the left side is mostly for promo cards and highly valuable cards (which I often proxy...sometimes even if I don't own the card).

Then we have my video game collection. This shot shows more or less the entire thing, and this one is more straight-on. That's actually not all of the Super Nintendo games I own; I've lent about a dozen of them out to my sister. The plastic carton has Game Boy and GBA games, and the blue box on the top of the shelf is kind of just for odds and ends, like memory cards, extra styluses, a few Skylanders, and at least one extra copy of a game that I accidentally bought two of. This is my console setup currently. (And yes, I realize that I have two PS3 games but no PS3; one of my former roommates had one.)

Finally, my books. I have two main shelves specifically for mine, one downstairs and one upstairs. (You might notice that the former is right next to the shelf of video games.) There are a few series that aren't quite complete that I want to get the missing volumes in. Part of the upstairs bookshelf is blocked by boxes that mostly contain more Sentinels of the Multiverse expansions (our board games are another potential collection, but I recently reorganized those, so they wouldn't be as easy to get pictures of), and I use it to store the few DVDs and CDs that I own as well. Much of that one is old textbooks and other such things that I got from school. The Jungle Book SNES game I'm borrowing from my cousin.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
That sure is an impressive card collection! 😲
In contrast, my entire Yu-Gi-Oh! card collection currently still fits inside a single shoe box. Just barely, but it does. Though I haven't really been playing the game physically for about a decade or so. I suppose what we see on that picture is simply what a card collection will naturally grow to when actively playing and collecting over a long period of time.

Here's a small collection of Manga that I got at Books-A-Million.

Manga

@Slakkmichael: Those first two definitely caught my eye.

Speaking of Transformers...and keeping this thread kicking, I figured I should show off a bot I got last Saturday.

Robot Mode
Vehicle Mode

That would be Terradive, a figure from the Generation 2 line of the early 1990s. I got him for about $13. Generation 2 isn't one of the most sought-after lines, which explains the low price, along with his missing gun and loose cockpit/chest joint. I hope to get his Skyscorcher squad-mates in the future.

I've been collecting music stuff for a while, these are some of my favourites.

Vinyl
CDs and tapes
Been collecting scabs for about a decade and a half now. Think I've got like seven or eight 64 oz mason jars full currently. cba to take a pic rn tho. Maybe later.
My layout has removed you.
Holy shit, y'all have some pretty nifty collections!

I have a collection of toy cars, some of them I won from my aunt as a birthday gift several years ago. I donated some of them to a family that lived a few kilometers away recently, but I still have two of them that hold a great value to me (they are such a relic). I always wanted to collect even more, but I don't have enough money and conditions right now. Maybe later.

I do happen to collect Pokémon plush. It's actually been a while since I've felt like getting more. I also have a bunch of merchandise, ranging from pins, stickers, and shirts. They're from artists who draw Pokémon related stuff (except for some of the shirts).

I don't collect anything particularly interesting; I only collect amiibo. I might have around 120 of them (since that is really the only thing I put my money into).

I know I have all of the Animal Crossing and Woolly World ones, but I don't think I have any other complete sets. The Monster Hunter ones and Box Boy are particularly difficult to find, and unfortunately I don't have them (yet).
