I just do not understand why the devices do not fall straight down, but also acquire an additional X speed. Using a vanilla sprite which was developed for a completely different purpose looks ridiculous in the TS's gimmick.
Yours sincerely,

Since ropes are supposed to go right/down, Nintendo (probably) figured out that you can give speed in the right and down directions.

Also the falling ropes make an interesting gimmick if used properly, which is what Mr. MS is trying to do. You can do the same with line-guided platforms if you want the level to be predictable and easier.

So people can't make levels using unintended behavior of sprites? What's your point? I don't get it.

Also, rope jumps are free. Good luck trying to do the same with line guided platforms in thin air, they'll eat you jump before you can react.

I don´t get your point. One jump and you know the mechanic. Using vanilla sprites in a different way is a good way of making the level design stand out.

By the way, you can get the same effect of you place one tile of a track line before it drops off. That is intended behaviour.

So, 4-3 is finished, meaning there only 2 levels left to finish the hack, here's some screenshots:

My notes:
  • Cutoff with the lava dino thing (I forgot its name) in the 2nd and 3rd screenshots.
  • Minor issue, but the pillar in the first screenshot could be darkened like the background

The pillar is solid, so i don't think i would make sense to make it dark like it's a background object.

There's not a way to fix this, so, whatever.

Oh, I thought it was a background object. But then, if it is solid, why is there some spikes behind it? Are they for decoration?

Yeah, it is.

You can try using custom graphics.

I have some bad news, i'm thinking about giving up, the reason is simply because i'm very unmotivated, i'm also insecure about the quality of the levels i made till this point.

Dude no! You letting so many people down with your decision!! If you are really insecure about the quality of the levels, you can make a thread in the testing forum. I and many people would be eager to playtest it.
