Are there any strange movement techs not covered in 2Kaizo2Learn?

I'm trying to make a metroidvania-style hack, and I feel that it's important for the creators of metroidvanias to be as fully informed as possible about what skips can be performed in their games, so that they can reward their players properly for finding them. I'm particularly aware of shell jumps, since they're fun to do, challenging and creative enough that people would feel clever and skilled for employing them, have a significant payoff (vastly increased vertical mobility), situational enough that they don't break the game and can be planned around by the hack creator (i.e. me), and don't feel too frustrating or unfair to learn (contrast e.g. vanilla wall jumps, which are practically TAS-only).

I'm going through 2Kaizo2Learn and trying to catalogue techniques like this, which could be used for skips in a way that I'd want to encourage and reward. Are there any techniques that would fit this description that aren't in 2Kaizo2Learn? At any skill level, aside from TAS-only.

(I'm also aware that the non-vanilla movement mechanics and sprites I'm adding will probably lead to at least one new movement technique. That's a separate issue, though if there's any movement techs discovered utilizing extremely common custom blocks or sprites, including patches of vanilla 1F0, I'd be interested in hearing about them.)

(Also, I've disabled LR scrolling, partly because I wanted to free up buttons and partly because of how buggy they are. There's probably not gonna be capes either but just in case, I'm open to hearing about cape techs.)
Still here, I guess. Despite all odds.
Well, also remember to check other hacks for this type of thing, like Panga`s Kaizo Kindergarten that also teach techniques that are not in 2Kaizo2Learn

They also explain Mario's physics in detail, how far he can jump running or simply by pressing ">" and many more things that could surely help you...
Practicing level design... with the keyboard malfunctioning
Oh, thank you, I was unaware of that one. I haven't gotten all the way through 2K2L yet but I might alternate the two. I'll definitely play that as well. It sounds like it's more useful from a metroidvania perspective anyway.
