Zsnes lag

I'm trying to play some hacks on Zsnes, and it is lagging like crazy.
It's never done this before, and I have nicreased priority selected already...

It could be the hack you are playing has areas with way to many sprites cause the creator was a noobaaar. Or try closing all un needed programs

Yeah, so what if I haven't shoveled out my signature yet, I'll get to it later.

Try to use another emulator, like Snes9X or BSnes. If it still lags, its not because of ZSnes.

I might put some sort of signature here once. I guess.
I'm playing brutal mario, and a clean rom is lagging as well.
Everything is closed but Zsnes too...
Try downloading Zsnes again, or if it still lags, make sure you have the latest version of it. If it STILL lags, then try download Snes9x, or Bsnes
Or maybe your computer just sucks.
Are other things lagging? i.e. commercial games, other roms/emulators, that sort of thing.
Your layout has been removed.

I doubt a corrupt installation is the problem, since it manages to run.

Anyway. Give us more details, what OS are you running on? What are your computer specs? e.g. RAM.
Could also be CPU usage. Do you have (m)any programs running while you're playing? It would be nice if you could give us more details, including your computer specs.

Now with extra girl and extra hacker
It is probably your computer, unless some virus is making your computer lag. Are things like the internet and Youtube videos lagging?
You know, the guy is inactive now

Sorry for the necropost, but I think I'm having the same problem.

For example, the row of coopas in the beginning of the vanilla first level to the right. They cause sprite-lag.
I tried Snes9x, but it gives audio glitches at times.

Computer lag is out of the question as CPU is around 14-18%. RAM is about 2,39 Gb. My GPU cannot lag either.

I'm playing runescape meanwhile, another window with forums and ZSNES running. Sometimes VLC has a movie open. Closing all of these does nothing.

I'm using Vista. :(

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I know that was a bump, but i might as well help:
When too many sprites are on screen, the game naturally lags. The SNES can only process so many sprites on screen at once. Unless it's lagging all of the time?

Who knows when I'll have
something to put here.

If its lagging all the time, its probably from Runescape. You said you had it open?
No it's not lagging all the time, the only lag my GPU can have is from Crysis at max settings (I call 20 fps lag).

Yes, spritelag. I don't think it's normal that it's lagging so badly in a vanilla level, or am I wrong?

Yoshi's Island 2 or whatever level it was with the huge row of koopas always lags. I don't know if it lagged on the actual SNES there or not, but it always lags on ZSNES, because there are too many sprites on screen at once. It's just bad level design on Nintendo's part honestly.

I've tried it with Snesx9; no lag at all.

If ZSNES can't be fixed, do you know how to fix occasional audio glitches with Snesx9? I'm sure it's a common problem and the fix is routine for you guys. Just paste the text you've already copied to your clipboard for this common problem. :)

Thank you in advance.
I have heard that SNES9X 1.52 has a bit of a sound problem.
Have you also heard of a solution? :o

No emulator perfectly emulates a real SNES, so there may not be a solution. In fact, I think audio glitches are fairly common in emulators. ZSNES is the preferred SNES emulator almost everywhere, and I recommend it personally, even if it does lag at like, 1 part of the entire game.

As for your actual question, I have not heard of a solution, but your best bet is to see if it came with a help file or FAQ.
