Kitsune^2 - Avast your Ass--TNS

Song Name: Kitsune2 - Avast your Ass
Author: TNS
Reasons for Removal:

It's nice to see you're using the right AM4 header, but the rest of the song needs work.

1. The instrumentation is poor. @9 doesn't sound like the synthesizers used in the original. Why not research ADSR and use it with @1 or @11? That would be more accurate.

2. No looping at all throughout the text file.

This can easily become:

[d8r4^8d8r4^8]14, which can be further reduced to [d8r4^8]28. Learning to loop is key if you want to become a music porter.

Verdict: keep at it.
Sorry to say, but this song still needs a bit more work before it can be accepted. Here are some problems that I've found:

- There are still many more opportunities for looping. I know that you've tried after the last post, and I sincerely appreciate that. But, looking at channel #1, after the initial few measures, the song repeats the same sequence of eight measures about six times. This can save a lot of space, and is truly unnecessary. The note pattern in question:

Please fix this.

- Incorrect looping point. The song loops abruptly after it ends. This is most likely due to the fact that proper rests aren't added to the end of every channel. Listening to the original song, there is a portion at the end that seems to be missing. To solve this, just add rests at the end of every channel except the one that ends last, since songs always end at the final note of the shortest channel.

- This only applies to channel #2: The octave isn't re-designated at the beginning. This really isn't a problem for this song, and certainly not a removal reason this time. But, it would be in your best interest to add o4s to the beginning of each channel if they aren't already present. It's a good habit for future ports, since there may be issues when the song loops in on itself.

The instrumentation is great, and the port really does sound better now. I assure you, after you fix these problems, that you will be able to get a submission.
