Sprite E6 is still useless.

For those who don't know what this is about, I made a thread during the last C3 explaining the advantages or having the candle flames from the castle background in a tile instead of using sprite E6, basically, it allows you to have candles anywhere in the background, the candles will fade out if a goal tape is crossed and you can use the candles sprite GFX for something else (either an original or a custom sprite). I also included a graphical merge of the candle flames with the animated circle tiles in that thread.

After comparing the replacement I did with the flames generated by sprite E6 and I realized the sprite flames moved at different speeds, unlike mine, so I decided to make a more accurate version, now with eight different animation patterns. Doing this is not so hard actually, but it's kind of tedious and time consuming, so I just got rid of the annoying part for you.

Great, this is best than sprite E6. I wanted to make something similar, but I didn't do it because my ASM knowledge was very less.
I think I will use it, nice job!
EDIT: Cool, I'm cool.

I once had this idea, and turned out well, but every flame was the same thing, so i'm using this one. Looks very accurate, well done!

Actually, no ASM knowledge is required for this, you just need to know how to use YY-CHR and a mostly, a lot of patience.

Thanks for the replies.
This thread makes me want to abuse E6 forever now.
Niiiiiice, always got bothered about Candle Flames not fading at the Goal Screen.

Downloading.
