Yes I did notice. I was talking about the passable blue blocks and the strange speed boost at the start (or is that a genuine walljump rather than a custom walljump-block..? It's hard to tell due to the quality of the video).

Oh no, not at all. That's a hidden Falling Grey Platform. I've used Layer Priority to hide it. Also, the passable blue blocks are solid to sprites NOT Mario/Luigi.

Level 2 Preview
Looks good but the BG palette... :/

I would call that palette a little bit TOO green. The 3 BG colors are green and the FG objects are green. It doesnt look too bad, just try to improve it a little bit (maybe add a different color) so it's a bit easier on the eyes.

What? What the hell kind of logic is that? Just because the original Kaizo Marios looked kinda trashy and most Youtube kaizos look really bad doesn't mean somebody on here can't try to make their Kaizo levels look decent graphics-wise...

Anyways, the BG colour is kinda blegh, I'd suggest trying to match the colours so they look like they blend a little better together, not all blocky and embossed like it does now.
